A poem is more an expression of the way my eyes look - always more to say than has been said - than phrases of perfect prosody. Tonight when I have everything I could possibly want, even the beauty of the crystal and sharded storm of glassy rain flossing the wind through pine-dappled trees, I find myself yearning for not more, but just the understanding of how precious each moment is; when more is just more and better is not logical any longer - how to express the deepest emotion in only a passing of eyes over the lettered page. So the song goes. It really is good for me to hear those things, even if it is only Frank Sinatra... Everything is easy in life to idealize, everything is easy to wish more and more perfect.
